Coneybury Site A, Bletchingley
Building work has now begun on a site for 10 new council homes in Bletchingley. This project marks the beginning of the Council’s second phase of council house building showing its commitment to providing more affordable housing in the district.
The site, at Coneybury playing fields, will provide four one-bed flats, four two-bed houses and two three-bed houses and is due to be complete around Christmas this year. The homes are being built as a rural exception scheme, which means only people on the housing register with a strong local connection to Bletchingley will be eligible. For more information please view the planning application online for this scheme.
The homes have been designed by MH Architects and will be built by local firm Selsdon Building Contractors Ltd. The Welling Partnership is project managing the build and the scheme has the strong support of Bletchingley Parish Council. A number of other sites are currently being considered for future development across the district. Three planning applications have recently been submitted which, if approved, will provide a further 20 council homes.
To be considered for renting a council property, residents must be on the housing register. To join the register or for more information, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01883 722000.
