Changes to Housing Benefit from April 2012

The government has changed Housing Benefit (HB).

Non-Dependant Charges

Non-dependant charges will increase from April 2012. An example of a non-dependant is a grown up child who still lives at home. The amount we reduce HB/CTB by is worked out according to the personal circumstances of the non-dependant. The following tables tell you how much we will reduce benefit by from April 2012.
